agnostic

I read today that the greek word 'agnostic' is exactly the same as the latin 'ignoramus'.

not really a great-sounding doctrine to hold, I say... makes dictionary.com's definition of the word amusing:

...an intellectual doctrine or attitude affirming the uncertainty of all claims to ultimate knowledge.
